MTBE BRANDING & SOCIAL MEDIA PROJECT

Manhattan the bar experts is a portable bar service located in Limassol. The owners Christos and Melanie came to me with a need to brand their business.

Manhattan the bar experts has an experienced team of highly trained bartenders & mixologists!They will make sure that your event is a success, and provide you with highly designed cocktails that will keep everyone feeling refreshed throughout!

Below you will find the roadmap of how I branded their business.

THE BRIEF

MTBE goal is to establish a professional presence as the go-to portable bar all around Cyprus.

What makes them stand out from competitors is the authentic care & attention to their customers and the use of fresh ingredients which are handpicked from their yard.

GOAL: To create a brand identity that is Bold, Elegant & Friendly.

MOODBOARDS

A POWERFUL BRAND IDENTITY BEGINS WITH THE RIGHT PROCESS.

A powerful Brand Identity begins with the right process. Each step of the process is built upon each other. A mandatory step is to craft mood boards to assist in defining and visualizing the style of the brand identity.

Moodboard is a tangible or digital arrangement of visuals that are intended to evoke, inspire or project a style or a concept. It can include imagery, colors, fonts, image references, textures, and design styles.

Moodboard’s role is to help you visualize and comprehend in your mind a concept.

SKETCHING IDEAS & LOGO DRAFTS

The next step after the research and creation of the mood boards is the rough sketching of logo draft ideas.

In this stage, the top concepts are being selected and presented in Black & White.

This helps the viewer to fully comprehend the concept first, without creating confusion. The focus should be on how the concept communicates & functions. The color selection is applied at a later stage.

LOGO DESIGN & COLOR SELECTION

The logo consists of minimal typography and geometric lines. The negative space on the letter M shapes a cocktail glass. The triangle shape symbolizes the liquid ingredients of the classic Manhattan cocktail, with negative space forming a cherry.

The brand colors were selected using color psychology and strategically to differentiate from competitors.

Secondary Color: Cooper

PROJECT FINALIZATION

A logo family was designed to assist the business brand to be versatile and flexible in its presence on various platforms. Logo family includes the Primary logo, Submark, Icon.
In conclusion, the logo is minimal and has a powerful presence.

The goal for the brand identity is achieved as it emits Boldness, Elegance & Friendliness.

 

Final Assets
After the logo family creation, the next step to complete the brand identity was to design the print and digital assets. Business Cards, Flyer, Stickers & Social Media.

SOCIAL MEDIA LAUNCH

1. SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY

A proper social media strategy is vital when you introduce a business on social media. Building a trusted presence for your targeted audience firstly starts by setting up social media properly. Secondly by creating a series of targeted introductory posts, and lastly using a hashtag strategy.

The content (visual & written) was crafted with a creative and professional approach to trigger the targeted audience, build trust and gain their attention.

2. VISUAL CONTENT

Written Content
The text on each post is carefully written and based on the findings of the targeted audience. The text was written in both English & Greek language. Some of the introductory post’s content includes their type of services, products, who they are, how they work, and why they are different.

Visual Content
The photos and graphics on each post are carefully chosen, adjusted, and edited to much the branding of MTBE, and accompanied the text content with a coherent outcome.

3. IMAGE EDITING

The necessary image adjustments such as image & color corrections were made on each photo. A harmonic, color-coordinated social media feed looks more appealing and professional to the viewer.

4. HASHTAG STRATEGY

In-depth research and selection of targeted hashtags were made to complement each post.

A set of custom-created Instagram highlight icons to compliment the account.

5. SOCIAL MEDIA PROMO

Animated Promo Post
Lastly, an animated introductory promo post was created. The aim of the promo post is to introduce MTBE impactfully to the market and their targeted audience. The video highlights their strengths, services, and uniqueness.

MOOD: Sparkly, Friendly, Professional

Using a video to promote on social media is more impactful than a static post.

 

Valeria helped us to build and launch our social media contents which includes Instagram and Facebook, with her knowledge of Marketing, advertisement, content creating, creativity and open mind(set), especially in a country where social media is still very upcoming, it was very helpful to have someone creating all of the aforementioned based on the information and pictures we provided.

Before our corporation, our social media page was at the very beginning, we are not familiar with how to reach the right audience/target market for the services we offer. After the social media launch, we feel that we are on the right track and actually reaching an audience fitting to the services we offer.
